Fil-Ams Barefield, Martin make All PAC-12 squads

Filipino-American college basketball players Sedrick Barefield and Remy Martin both made it onto All-PAC-12 Conference Teams in the US NCAA Division I.
The collegiate conference, which is located in the west coast of the United States features historic programs such as the UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, Arizona Wildcasts, Arizona St. Sun Devils, and the like.
Barefield, a 6'2" guard playing in his final year for the Utah Utes was named to the All-PAC 12 First Team, after averaging 17.2 ppg, 2.1 rpg, and 3.8 apg.
He joins Tyler Bey of Colorado, Bennie Boatwright of USC, Zylan Cheatham of Arizona St., Robert Franks of Washington St., Jaylen Nowell and Matisse Thybulle of Washington, KZ Okpala of Stanford, Tres Tinkle of Oregon St., and McKinley Wright IV of Ohio in the prestigious list.
Martin meanwhile, a Filipino passport holder and member of the #23for23 pool set to represent the country in the 2023 FIBA World Cup in the Philippines, was hailed as member of the second team.
The explosive 6'2" sophomore guard normed 13.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg, and 5.2 apg. Martin was cited as PAC-12 Defensive MVP and Co-Sixth Man of the Year in his freshman year.
The Arizona St. Sun Devil joins teammate Luguentz Dort, Jaylen Hands and Kris Wilkes of UCLA, and Stephen Thompson of Oregon St. in the second team.
