Nazareth School of National University has been on the winning track thus far in 2019.
The Bullpups granted head coach Goldwin Monteverde his breakthrough championship in the UAAP in February.
A month later, they registered the first-ever back-to-back titles in the 12-year history of the Chooks-to-Go NBTC League National Finals presented by SM.
And next month, NU will be NCR's representatives in this year's Palarong Pambansa.
Through it all, the boys from Sampaloc are nothing but thankful for all the blessings they have received. "Everything na naa-achieve namin, sobrang saya kami. Every tournament naman, we really prepare kaya masaya kami for this," head coach Goldwin Monteverde said.
Finals MVP Carl Tamayo only shared the same sentiment. "Thank God for the blessing he gave to us. Masarap talaga sa pakiramdam 'to kasi 'di rin madali yung pinagdaanan namin,"
What matters more for NU, though, is that they have gone through it all and done anything and everything as one. "Masayang sama-sama kaming gumawa ng history," team captain Gerry Abadiano said, talking about the NBTC milestone they have just reached.
Looking forward to the rest of the year and even beyond, they are only hoping to keep winning together as the Bullpups.
