The Laguna Lady Pistons picked up their first win in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) after defeating the Pampanga Delta Amazons, 91-71, last Sunday at the Dominican College gym in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Charmine Natural had 22 points and 17 rebounds, and Caryl Monique Molina also had a double-double after finishing with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Pistons as they improved their record to 1-1.

The Lady Pistons bounced back after they lost in the WNBL opener against the Paranaque Lady Aces, 78-57, last April 7.

Laguna outscored Pampanga, 27-14, in the second quarter with Natural scoring 12 points in that period to break a 20-20 deadlock at the end of the first period.

Action continues in the WNBL this weekend with Paranaque facing Pampanga on Saturday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, and Philippine Air Force taking on Philippine Navy on Sunday at the Imus Sports Complex.
