FIBA: Edu in town to reinforce Gilas youth for U19 World Cup

Gilas is in Group C with host Greece, Argentina, and Russia for the FIBA U19 World Cup.
Help has arrived for Gilas Pilipinas’ youth team.
The toweing AJ Edu is in Manila to join the U19 national team to prepare for the FIBA U19 World Cup in Greece.
Gilas is in Group C with host Greece, Argentina, and Russia and the national youth team will spend a couple of weeks training here under coach Sandy Arespacochaga before heading to Qatar for a training camp.

With Edu already on deck, the other half of Gilas’ fearsome twin tower combo, Kai Sotto, is set to return home as well to join the national team.
Kai has spent some time in the US to train in preparation for a possible leap in the NBA.
Gilas got its U19 World Cup slot last year after placing fourth in the U-18 Asian Championships in Thailand.
