Sotto-Edu backed up by 5 NU stars in Gilas Youth pool for FIBA U19

Kai Sotto and AJ Edu are back in the Philippines to lead the way in the upcoming 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup
Twin towers Kai Sotto and AJ Edu will rise anew for Gilas Pilipinas Youth as they head to Greece to wage war in the 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.
7-foot-2, 17-year-old Sotto and 6-foot-10, 19-year-old Edu front the attack for the 30th-ranked youth team all set to compete in the world meet from June 29 to July 7.
The towering teens have come home to the Philippines following stints abroad to banner the 14-man pool of the national youth team.
Edu arrived last Wednesday while Sotto's plane is set to land on Friday.
They form an imposing frontline that will be backstopped by another Filipino shining bright abroad in the form of point guard Dalph Panopio.
Flanking those three are then five standouts from National University.
Bulldogs Dave Ildefonso and Migs Oczon have also been named to the pool alongside Bullpups Gerry Abadiano, Terrence Fortea, and Carl Tamayo.
Rounding out the list are Ateneo de Manila University's Geo Chiu, Colegio de San Juan de Letran's Joshua Ramirez, Far Eastern University's Xyrus Torres, San Beda High School's Rhayyan Amsali, the University of the Philippines' James Spencer, and University of Sto. Tomas' Bismarck Lina.
Gilas Youth will be coached by Sandy Arespacochaga who will then be aided by Anton Altamirano, Ryan Betia, JB Sison, and Charles Tiu.
They will see action in Group C alongside no. 9 Argentina, no. 15 Greece, and no.19 Russia.
