Jerrick Ahanmisi waxed hot as Adamson easily won the Battle for Third opposite LPU
Jerrick Ahanmisi was on fire all game long as Adamson University torched Lyceum of the Philippines University, 96-63, in the Battle for Third in the 2019 Filoil Flying Preseason Tournament.
Ahanmisi scorched the nets by shooting 11-of-18 from the field, all but three from downtown, for 31 points to go along with three rebounds and two steals in just 24 minutes of play on Sunday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
Jerom Lastimosa and Simon Camacho were more than capable reinforcements as the former finished with 15 points, six assists, and four rebounds and the latter ended with 14 markers, six boards, and two dimes.
The Soaring Falcons were never threatened after waxing hot throughout, shooting 52 percent from the field.
For the Pirates, Rhanzelle Yong fronted the effort with 20 points. They sorely missed Marcelino twins Jaycee and Jayvee, Mike Nzeusseu, and Tosi Tansingco, however, to just fall short of a podium finish in the preseason tournament.
