Kiefer Ravena re-joins Gilas practice for the first time since his FIBA-imposed suspension
Kiefer Ravena takes another step towards his on-court comeback after re-joining the Philippine Men's National Team practice, Monday evening at the Meralco Gym in Ortigas.
Ravena has been serving an 18-month suspension imposed by FIBA for failing a random drug test back in 2018.
The suspension began on February 25, 2018 and since then, Ravena has been barred from participating in basketball-related activities, including playing for his NLEX squad in the PBA.
The good news for Ravena is that the suspension is set to be lifted on August 24th, 2019, just in time for the upcoming 2019 FIBA World Cup in China on August 31st.
Joining Ravena in Monday night's practice were June Mar Fajardo, Paul Lee, RR Pogoy, Poy Erram, and Japeth Aguilar, Mark Barroca, Marcio Lassiter and Troy Rosario.
Also present are Robert Bolick, Stanley Pringle, and CJ Perez.
Bigman Raymond Almazan is also present but is not participating in the practice proper.
Veteran Marc Pingris also dropped by to watch the National Team put in work.
