MACAU — San Miguel will take the 2019 East Asia Super League Terrific 12 tournament but the Beermen will do battle here undermanned.
Three regular starters are either out or doubtful for the Beermen.
Alex Cabagnot will miss Tuesday’s game against China’s Shenzhen Aviators due to flu while Marcio Lassiter is still dealing with the knee injury that sideline him from the PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs through the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
Of course, San Miguel’s star center June Mar Fajardo is still day-to-day with a sprained ankle sustained in China from the World Championships.

“Si June Mar, game basis siya eh. Kita niyo naman after nung World Cup stint niya sa China eh talagang maga [ankle],” Austria said of June Mar
“Sabi ko sa kanya, that’s your prize dahil you did your best to represent the country, kahit may injury ka naglaro ka for your country and that’s a good sign of a player,” he added.
The PBA’s five-time Most Valuable Player will be a game-time decision for the Beermen as they take on the Aviators in the penultimate game of Day 1 at the Tap Seac Multi-sport Pavillion here.
