The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup is now in its stretch run.
And there is no doubt that the regional league will only keep going after this season.
In fact, the MPBL has found a brand new partner in Chooks-to-Go.
As per the meeting between MPBL owner Manny Pacquiao and Chooks-to-Go president Ronald Mascarinas last Tuesday, the latter has expressed all-out support to the former in its fourth season expected to tip off next year.
At the same time, the regional league has vowed to stand by Chooks' side in its continued support of 3x3.
"Congratulations to Chooks-to-Go for spearheading the country's bid in the OQT. Alam niyo naman na I'm willing to support anything for the country," Pacquiao said. "Olympics na ang pinag-uusapan dito. Isang pagkakataon ito na hindi pwedeng palagpasin ng ating mga kababayan."
For that, Mascarinas is nothing but grateful. As he put it, "Our league will be forever grateful to senator Manny as he did not bar his teams from joining us."
Several squads to have seen action in Chooks 3x3 while also competing in the MPBL were Bacoor, San Juan, Mindoro, Bataan, and Zamboanga, among others.
