Looks like San Miguel Alab Pilipinas will take time to get together and get going.

Out of sync for majority of the matchup, the Filipinos bowed to Thailand’s Mono Vampire, 76-111, in the latter’s home court Stadium 29 in Nonthaburi, Sunday.

Playing its first official game sans stalwart Ray Parks Jr. as well as resident reinforcement Renaldo Balkman, the Philippines was blown out of the water right from tip off and found itself in a 19-point hole, 12-31.

Alab would never recover and was at the receiving end of a 35-point beatdown to commence its quest to reclaim the crown.

Nick King paced them with 21 points and seven rebounds while Louie Vigil and Jordan Heading also added 13 and 12 markers, respectively.

Jason Brickman, finally playing as a local, was scoreless and only had four assists and two rebounds.
