Andray Blatche found no match, Saturday (Philippine time), powering Mighty Sports-Pilipinas right through Al Ittihad, 77-72, in the continuation of the 2020 Dubai International Basketball Tournament.
Blatche posted a 28-point, 11-rebound double-double and pounded down Syria's undersized frontline.
Most importantly, the naturalized big man came through when it mattered most, hitting a long-range missile with 54 ticks to go that proved to be the final nail in the coffin of their opponents.
Fellow reinforcement Renaldo Balkman chimed in his own double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Filipinos began the invitational tourney with back-to-back wins.
