Champion coaches in the high school ranks have banded together to share their mind about basketball in a brand new clinic.

The Phenom Championship Clinic slated for late 2020 or early 2021 will feature current champion coach Manu Inigo of San Beda High School as well as former champion coaches Joe Silva and Marvin Bienvenida.

Silva scored several titles for Ateneo de Manila High School while Bienvenida brought home La Salle Green Hills' first and only trophy.

The brand new clinic aims to register and reinforce the basics of basketball in enrollees aged 12-16 and 17-22. "We've been planning this since last year. We hope to focus on the foundations of these young players," Anton Brodett, Silva's assistant at University of the East and Bienvenida's assistant at LSGH, said.

Also involved are Gian Nazario, current assistant at De La Salle University; Justin Tan, current assistant of MPBL's Mindoro Tamaraws; Ferdinand Ali-Ali, former assistant at University of Perpetual Help; Paolo Romero, former strength and conditioning coach at UE; Anton Escolin, video coordinator of MPBL's Iloilo United Royals; and Anton Paule, owner of Phenom Fitness.

Brodett is the connecting thread for all these names scattered in several schools as he had worked with Silva, Nazario, Romero, and Escolin in UE; with Bienvenida in LSGH; and with Inigo in San Beda.

"Myself, Joe, Marvin, Gian, and Manu, with our experiences in the high school and college levels and the seminars we had, we know we can be efficient and effective in teaching the younger generation," he said. "We are also bringing in strength and conditioning coaches in Paolo and Anton plus video editor wizard Anton aka VCHoops25 so lahat ng angels, covered."

The Phenom Clinic will have online classes starting September while the camp proper is penciled in for December of this year of January of next year. "For sure, we will comply with the new normal," Brodett assured.
