Jeffrey De Luna settled for a Final Four finish in the 2019 US Open 9-Ball Championship.
Filipino bet Jeffrey de Luna bowed down to German Joshua Filler, 8-11, in the semifinals of the 2019 US Open 9-Ball Championship held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas Friday (Saturday, Manila time).
De Luna, who booted out compatriot and 2005 champion Alex Pagulayan in the quarterfinals, settled for a $12,000 purse and as the highest placed Pinoy cue artist out of 11 Filipino bets who joined the prestigious pool event.
Filler eventually won the crown and the $50,000 booty after besting Chinese Wu Jiaqing, 13-10, in the race-to-13 Final.
Jiaqing advanced to the championship round after taking down Chang Yu-Lung of Chinese-Taipei.
