MANILA – There is no busier sportsman today than Manny Pacquiao. Fresh from his dominant performance and successful title defense against former WBO light welterweight champion Chris Algieri in Macau, China, the eight-division world champion wasted no time in getting back to business with his other sporting endeavor. Pacquiao, who is also the head coach of the new Philippine Basketball Association expansion team KIA Sorento, immediately headed for the basketball court in General Santos City the day he got back from Macau on Monday to do a few drills and pick-up games. KIA Sorento will be facing defending grandslam champions Purefoods Star Hotshots on Wednesday, November 25th. In a report by Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN News, Pacquiao only intends to stay in General Santos for two days, before flying back to Manila to attend to his duties as head coach. The champ, on the other hand, seemed like he did not come off a 12-round title fight as he plans to suit up and see some action for the coming game. “I intend to play, let’s see how it goes,” Pacquiao said. “But I will be present during the practice sessions.”
