MANILA - "Wolverine" is rooting for "Pacman".
46-year old Hugh Jackman, notably known for his roles as "Wolverine" of the X-Men films and "Van Helsing", says he will be rooting for eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao against Floyd Mayweather on May 2nd, in their mega bout that took almost six years to finalize.
"The favorite, I'm guessing, is Mayweather," Jackman told ABS-CBN's Gretchen Fulido in an interview for his upcoming sci-fi flick "Chappie". "As an Australian, I prefer the underdog. I love Pacquiao's speed, and I love everything about him."
Jackman's co-star Dev Patel of "Slumdog Millionaire" fame also picked Pacquiao to win the bout.
Other notable figures that are rooting for the Filipino superstar are UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Oscar De La Hoya, to name a few.
