UPDATE - Featherweight Braydon Smith, who collapsed after his ten-round fight against Filipino boxer John Moralde, has passed away.
The 23-year old Australian boxer last saw action on Saturday at the Rumours International in Toowoomba, Australia. He was then rushed to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital right after the incident. RingTV.com first reported the news.
Close sources claimed that Smith "looked white as a ghost" after receiving repeated blows from Moralde. Others say he was already damaged enough when he was dropped in the ninth round, but did not show tell-tale signs that the fight should be put to a halt.
On Monday, Fight News Australia confirmed Smith's passing.
