The highly anticipated boxing mega-fight on May 2nd is just a few weeks away. Seen above is a clip titled 'Everything you need to know about Floyd Mayweather', as it provides further background and goes in depth on the career of the undefeated American fighter.
The brash and talented boxer in Mayweather may act like he never really needed this bout against Manny Pacquiao, and that his legacy is already set in stone. Despite what he says though, for the 38-year-old, this is much more than just the copious amounts of cash he will be receiving. It's also a chance to validate all his claims and truly make his mark in boxing history.
As seen on the video, BloodyElbow.com's Connor Reubusch also spoke about the true significance of the contest for Floyd's career.
"If you were to listen to Floyd, you may think that his decision to finally face Manny Pacquiao was some kind of act of charity," he said. "But make no mistake, the only way Floyd may establish himself as the greatest boxer of his time, is to win this fight. He needs this fight."
"Pacquiao's is the only name that Floyd can't simply reduce to a number, and that's a good thing. With a win on May 2nd... It may not make him the best ever, but it will be the biggest win of his career and the most important of this era."
Fair or not, many fans and pundits try to discredit the other 47 times he had won inside the ring. But now that Floyd found his perfect dance partner, there's just absolutely no way to do the same if he manages to get his hand raised once again.
Despite what Mayweather tries to show, come May 2nd, greatness is on the line.
