With two days until fight night, there lies a sense of confidence within the Nonito Donaire camp. “The Filipino Flash” will be facing Frenchman Anthony Settoul on Saturday at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China.
The upcoming bout will be Donaire’s second fight since knockout loss to Nicholas Walters in October 2014. And as he gets back on track to another world title, the 32-year old five division world champ says he is more than ready to take on the task at hand.
“Confident kami kasi maganda talaga iyong training,” Donaire told ABS-CBN News Correspondent Dyan Castillejo. “This time gagawin ko talaga ang gameplan.”
His father, Nonito “Dodong” Sr., is satisfied with how his son did during sparring.
“Maganda ang bilis niya ngayon kapag nag sparring nakakalayo siya kaagad.”
His promoter Bob Arum, however, is wary about the size difference.
“This is going to be a very competitive fight because Settoul is a tall fighter, and it wont be easy for Nonito.”
