It looks like Nonito Donaire is headed for another title fight by the tailend of this year.
“The Filipino Flash” pretty much stated his case after dismantling Frenchman Anthony Settoul in two rounds on Saturday night in Macau, China. His hardwork is looking to be rewarded with a possible title fight against reigning WBA super-bantamweight champion Scott Quigg.
Quigg also completed his previous task at hand with flying colors by stopping Spain’s Kiko Martinez also within two rounds in their own Saturday night fight in Manchester, England.
Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport says they are interested in a fight with either Donaire or Guillermo Rigondeaux, but prefers to have Quigg face Donaire instead.
The fight is being targeted to take place in Dubai.
