ALA Boxing standouts Albert and Jason Pagara will be embarking on their first fight out of the country this Friday, August 7th, as they co-headline Pinoy Pride 32, Duel in Dubai 2.
“Prince” Albert banners the event as he defends his IBF Intercontinental title against Mexico’s Jesus Rios, while “El Niño” faces Ramiro Alcaraz in the preceding bout.
Both the Pagara brothers have already arrived in Dubai, a week prior to fight night. And as expected, they immediately went to work. In a report by ABS-CBN Correspondent Randy Lamsen, Jason and Albert immediately went to training after settling down in their hotel room upon arrival.
Also fighting along with the Pagara brothers is Dumaguete City native Jimrex Jaca. Jaca, who will be facing Pablo Montiel, is as confident as Albert and Jason that a victory will be coming his way.
“Sympre 100% na Manalo ako sa laban ko.”
According to ALA Boxing trainer Edmund Villamor, preparing against any Mexican foe is not an easy task to complete, and reiterated the importance of being well-prepared coming into the bout.
“Paghandaannatin ang mga Mexicano dahil [sila ay mga] warrior. Kailangan natin yun mga boxer natin laging handa para sa laban na ito.”
The fight will take place at the World Trade Center.
