As one of the top dogs of combat sports, Floyd Mayweather has always had a target on his back.
Not just from his fellow boxers, but from mixed martial arts fighters as well. Everyone just wants a piece of “Money May”, whether it be to try and put that zero in win-loss slate, or just to lay their hands on him.
Quite a handful from the MMA world have already expressed their desire to slug it out with Junior. UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor believes he can “most certainly dismantle” Mayweather, while rising star Aljamain Sterling wanted to “light up” Floyd after the undefeated boxer tried to hit on the former’s girlfriend at a pool party in Las Vegas.
UFC president Dana White, meanwhile, has confidently declared that every single name on his roster could beat Mayweather Jr, including the women.
Mayweather, who will be facing Andre Berto on September 12th for his supposed final fight, finally took time to respond to all the call-outs.
“I’m in a $100 million business, not a $100,000 business. I shouldn’t even be stooping to certain levels because they don’t make any sense.”
Watch this short clip, where he also responded to questions about fighting Ronda Rousey.
