ALA Boxing has added a new name to their inaugural United States event on October 17th.
WBO light flyweight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes will be joining Pagara brothers Albert and Jason and top prospect Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo, in the event dubbed “Filipinos Kontra Latinos”, which will take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
This, according to Philippine Star’s Abac Cordero.

Nietes (36-1-4, with 21 victories by knock out) has been promised a fight in the US as early as last month, after his seventh successful title defense against Francisco Rodriguez Jr. at Pinoy Pride 31 in Cebu City.
The 33-year old fighter also expressed his intent to move up a weight class, at 112-pounds, which his chief promoter Michael Aldeguer welcomed.
As of this posting, Nietes’ next fight will remain at 108-pounds, against an opponent yet to be determined.
