Even after they have fought, with Floyd Jr. ending up with a wide-margined victory, Manny Pacquiao will always be attached to the Mayweather name.
While there are very few people who actually would not mind seeing a rematch between the two welterweight greats, the greater majority of the boxing audience are appalled by the mere idea. But even so, Pacquiao’s name would pop up during Mayweather interviews, whether Junior himself is on the mic, or any member of his family.
FightHype recently caught up with the elder Floyd, who is helping his son prepare for the September 12th bout against Andre Berto. This is what he had to say about the lone eight-division world champion.
“He is a liar with no skills.”
Mayweather Sr. also went on to question Pacquiao’s alleged injury recuperation, wherein the boxer claimed that the torn rotator cuff on his right shoulder was “healed by salt water.”
“I don’t care what kind of water you put on your arm. When the rotator cuff on your arm is messed up, man, you’re messed up for a while. You don’t get over nothing like that [sic] in two or three weeks.”
