One of the next possible opponents being looked at for Manny Pacquiao is his own former stablemate, Amir Khan.
It is a match-up that Arum himself is targeting, but is opposed by the fighter’s trainer, Freddie Roach. Nothing, however, has been set in stone, and the fight remains merely on paper. But if the fight does happen, Floyd Mayweather Sr. only sees it happening one way.
"I'm gonna be honest with you, I think Amir Khan will beat him too,” the elder Floyd said during an interview with On The Ropes Boxing. "Anybody that can box is gonna cause Pacquiao a problem. Even if Pacquiao beats him, Pacquiao's gonna get beat up before he lands the big punch anyways. Pacquiao's gonna get beat up even if he wins the fight, if it goes beyond six to eight rounds."
Pacquiao is not expected to make a return any time soon, and is looking at a comeback date in 2016.
