Pros react to Mayweather vs. Berto

The last couple of fights of Floyd Mayweather’s career have been predictable, to say the least.
Even against Manny Pacquiao last May, that even when many thought it would be Junior’s “toughest test”, the greater majority still penciled it in as an automatic victory for “The Money Team.”
So when “Money May” decided to pick Andre Berto, a two-time world champion yet a way lesser-named opponent for fight number 49, boxing fans were met with utter disappointment. That, of course, did not change until the very final bell of the actual fight.
For UFC lightweight contender “Raging” Al Iaquinta, it was money well saved.
So glad we didn't pay for this... Half the room is asleep #MayweatherBerto— Al Iaquinta (@ALIAQUINTA) September 13, 2015
But for fellow 155-pounder James Krause, it was more about the hours of his life he will never get back.
Keep the money, I want my 2 hours back. #MayweatherBerto— James Krause (@TheJamesKrause) September 13, 2015
Six-division world champion and boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya was already looking forward to a post-Floyd Mayweather boxing era.
And ironically, Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao was in a bit of a dull mood around the time the fight was taking place. Firing shots at his old rival, perhaps?
