If there’s one word that would perfectly describe Floyd Mayweather Jr. it would be flashy.
From a showroom-lieke car collection to thousand dollar bills laid out on his bed, the retired, yet still considered by many as boxing’s pound-for-pound king enjoys brandishing the fruits of his labour.
Recently, he was once again at it through a social media post, this time with his world championship belts in full display. Mayweather is a five-division world champion who racked up titles at super featherweight (130 lbs) all the way up to light middleweight (154 lbs).
He retired with an undefeated record (49-0, with 26 victories by knockout).
While many have declared (Mayweather himself, included) the official end of “Money May” as a prizefighter, a few handful are still considering the possibility of a comeback in 2016. The most notable one being undefeated middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, who is also aching for his own shot at Mayweather.
“Floyd, he’s not finished,” Golovkin said prior to his fight against David Lemieux on Saturday. ”He’s not finished. He’s a good businessman. He’s a very smart guy. He has [a] plan [for his] future.”
