It is a known fact that Ronda Rousey has transcended through the realm of combat sports.

A revered figure in mixed martial arts as one of the most devastating female finishers, “Rowdy’s” legitimacy was further established when she appeared on the cover of Ring Magazine’s 2016 issue.

While many did throw praises at Rousey, some were also left scratching their heads, trying to figure out why a female mixed martial arts fighter was chosen to grace the cover of what is deemed as the “Bible of Boxing”. Most notably, Floyd Mayweather also spoke out, and he was not a fan of the idea, to say the least.

“Well, you know, congratulations, but you know the sport is starting to look bad when a female fighter from a whole other sport is on the cover of a boxing book,” Mayweather told FightHype.com. “You gotta realize this: We all know Oscar De La Hoya owns The Ring Magazine. That shows you; he has no fighters but Canelo. Basically, it’s like he’s trying to steal her from (UFC president) Dana White.”

Rousey has yet to respond to Mayweather’s recent comments, but knowing her recent history with “Money May” it would be safe to expect another verbal sparring match between the two fighters.
