"In case you were wondering why I'm always such a loving husband." - Nonito Donaire Jr.
Unbeknownst to the general public, Nonito Donaire’s wife Rachel actually has her own connection to fighting.
A black belt in Taekwondo, Rachel had a short stint competing in tournaments from 1995 to 2008. Along the way, she won various medals, inlcuding a gold at the 2002 U.S Collegiate Nationals, a bronze at the 2002 U.S Open, and a bronze at the 2006 Korea open, among others.
She is also branded as a “knockout queen”, and this particular highlight reel explains why she got the said nickname.
While her husband Nonito is currently in camp preparing for his world title fight against Cesar Juarez, Rachel took it upon herself to keep busy. Here she is working the boxing mitts with father-in-law Dodong for the first time, and she has so far proven that she is still in crisp fighting form, even after giving birth to two sons.
Donarie faces Juarez on December 11th in Puerto Rico.
