21-year old ALA Boxing Promotions fighter Albert Pagara is set for a ring return on February 27th of the coming year.
According to a report by Ronnie Nathanielsz for Boxingscene.com, “Prince” Albert will be facing former super flyweight world champion Juan Carlos Sanchez in a fight that is being targeted to take place at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu City.
Sanchez, who is three years Pagara’a senior, boasts a 20-4-1 win-loss slate, with nine victories by knockout. In 2013, he won the vacant IBF 112-pound world title against Roberto Domingo Sosa through a unanimous decision verdict.
He last saw action in July against Cesar Juarez, where he lost by unanimous decision.
Pagara (25-0, with 18 victories by knockout), currently holds the WBO Youth Intercontinental super bantamweight belt. He won the said title via sixth round knockout in October at Pinoy Pride 33, during ALA Promotions’ maiden event in the United States.
