-- Albert Pagara
Pinoy Pride 35 main eventer Albert Pagara wasn’t too thrilled about how his title bout against Nicaragua’s Yesner Talavera ended last Saturday.
Many people expected the 22-year old Pagara to knock Talavera out, but instead the two went to a 12-round decision, with the reigning WBO Intercontinental Jr. Featherweight champion earning the nod.
“ Pagara told ABS-CBN Sports following the match.
The brash young champion went on to compare Talavera to a certain unbeaten boxer that also got a lot of flak for supposedly dancing around the ring instead of actually fighting.
Throughout the 12-round bout, Talavera unloaded flurry after flurry on Pagara, who deflected majority of them, seemingly without any damage.
Walang power punch. “
With his perfect record improving to 26 wins, Pagara wants his world title opportunity and says that he’ll be working until he gets it. He says he’s targeting an April return.
