It’s back to business for eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, as he’s back in the United States to continue training for his upcoming final fight against Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley next month.
Pacquiao, long-time head coach Freddie Roach, and the rest of Team Pacquiao touched down at the Los Angeles International Airport, Saturday night, as reported by ABS-CBN Balitang America correspondent Steve Angeles.
Pacquiao begins the US leg of his training camp for Bradley on Monday at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, and Buboy Fernandez says that they’re excited to be back and that the Pacman is nearing the peak of his training.
An incumbent member of the Philippine House of Representatives as well as a senatorial candidate in the upcoming Philippine elections, Pacquiao faced controversy earlier this year, but seems to have left that behind as he focuses on what he says will be his last time inside the boxing ring.
Pacquiao and Bradley meet for the third time in their careers, with Bradley taking a controversial Split Decision for the WBO Welterweight strap win in their first matchup back in 2012 and Pacquiao winning back the title via Unanimous Decision in the rematch back in 2014.
The rubber-match is slated for April 9th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
