A handful of the Philippines’ best boxers head to battle as they welcome foreign challenges on Pinoy Pride 36: A Legend in the Making on May 28 at the La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City.

Headlining the card will be none other than hometown boy and the longest reigning Filipino boxing champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes as he puts his WBO World Minimumweight Championship on the line against former world champion Raul “Rayito” Garcia from Mexico.

In the co-main event, “King” Arthur Villanueva sets his sights on another title as he takes on Juan “El Penita” Jimenez of Mexico for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight Championship.

In a featured flyweight contest, world title contender Milan “Milenyo” Melindo takes on late replacement Maximino Flores of Mexico, who steps in for the injured Javier Mendoza.

Also on the card, up-and-coming star Kevin Jake “KJ” Cataraja looks for his fourth straight win against Thailand’s Chatchai Or Benjamin in a flyweight contest.
