As flashy as his blonde hair and his neon green trunks, ALA Boxing standout “Prince” Albert Pagara has never lacked confidence, nor has he shied away from any challenge.
In 26 pro contests, Pagara has yet to taste defeat, or even a draw, making him one of the ALA Boxing stable’s fastest rising young stars.
So when his name was paired with former world title contender Cesar Juarez, the yung Misamis Oriental native didn’t feel any pressure. In fact, he said that Juarez was a fight that he wanted.
As brash and cocky as the young Pagara may seem inside the ring, he still knows better than to be too confident, especially against an opponent the caliber of Juarez, who recently gave Nonito Donaire Jr. a really tough fight.
During his most recent outing, a 12-round decision against Nicaragua’s Yesner Talavera back in February, Pagara was pretty pissed during the post-fight interview, saying that all Talavera did was run.
That won’t likely be happening this time around against Juarez, who as mentioned earlier, pushed Donaire to the limit during their title bout.
For Pagara, who doesn't like going to a decision too much, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
The bout between Albert Pagara and Cesar Juarez will be headlining Pinoy Pride 37, and is scheduled for July 9, 2016 at the San Mateo Events Centre in San Francisco, California.
