BROTHERS IN ARMS. Brothers Albert and Jason Pagara are the main attractions for Pinoy Pride 37 in San Mateo, California
Two of the country’s top young boxers head stateside to showcase their talents once again, as brothers and ALA Boxing standouts “Prince” Albert Pagara and Jason “El Niño” Pagara take the top bill on Pinoy Pride 37: Fists of the Future in California.
Headlining the card will be unbeaten “Prince” Albert (26-0-0, 18KO) taking on arguably the biggest challenge of his career, former world title challenger Cesar Juarez (17-5-0, 13KO) from Mexico. Albert will be putting up his WBO Intercontinental Junior Featherweight Championship against Juarez, who just last December, pushed Nonito Donaire to the limit.
In the co-main event, the older Pagara, Jason (38-20, 23KO), will be facing Mexico’s Abraham “The Swift” Alvarez (21-9-1, 10KO) in a ten-round welterweight contest.
In the other supporting bouts, Mauricio Zabaleta meets Darren Mallard Jr in a six round super-welterweight contest, while Hector Valdez squares off against Vincent Jennings in a featherweight six-rounder.
