With all the scouting reports of Juarez being a tough son of a gun and what not, the Mexican former world title challenger himself believes that it's not so much his toughness that's his edge over reigning WBO Intercontinental Super Bantamweight champion "Prince" Albert Pagara.
Rather, it's his motivation that he says will lead him to the W at Pinoy Pride 37 on July 9.
"My biggest weapon right now is my incredible motivation to win this fight. I feel that that’s my biggest advantage, and that’s what will make me win." Juarez said in an interview on the One Kapamilya Go Facebook page.
The 24-year old Juarez may have pushed world champion Nonito Donaire to the limit back in December, but the fact of the matter is he lost the bout against Donaire, and he lost his next fight against Giovanni Delgado back in March.
It's the first time in his 22-fight career that Juarez suffered back-to-back losses.
Still, the Mexico City native remains confident in his training and his skills, and says that come fight night, it won't be just any other bout for "Prince" Albert.
"When Pagara comes up to the ring, he’ll be fighting a fighter like he’s never encountered before, and he’s not gonna know what he’s gonna do. "
A win against Pagara on Saturday's main event won't only net him the WBO Intercontinental Super Bantamweight title, but it'll also be a form of redemption for the Mexican warrior.
"I’m really happy, very motivated, very psyched for this fight, I’m obligated to win this fight because I need it in my career because I’m coming off two losses," said Juarez. "But at the same time I don’t really feel pressured, or desperately needing to win, because this is an opportunity I need to take to get my credibility back in boxing, as well as the respect that I want."
