Jeo Santisima faces Indonesian foe on ALA Boxing's IDOL 2
ALA Boxing's young stars get the chance to shine on the second edition of IDOL

Just a week removed from one Pinoy Pride 37 in San Mateo, California, ALA Boxing heads back to Mandaue City, Cebu for the second edition of IDOL, featuring some of ALA Boxing’s bright young stars.

Headlining the card will be Masbate’s Jeo “Santino” Santisima (10-2-0, 9 KO) taking on Indonesia’s Junior Bajawa (14-8-0, 7 KO) in a ten-round super bantamweight contest.

The 20-year old Santisima is riding an impressive eight-fight winning streak, all of which coming via stoppage. In his most recent outing, Santisima stopped Thailand’s Tabthong Tor Buamas with second left in the first round back in Cebu.

Indonesia’s Bajawa is desperately searching for a win after dropping his last seven bouts, most recently against Panthem Mullipoom in Thailand.

In the co-main event, it’s a battle of Bukidnon natives as unbeaten Melvin” Gringo” Jerusalem (9-0-0, 7KO) looks for his tenth straight win when he meets newly crowned WBC International Light Flyweight Champion Jonathan Refugio (15-4-4, 3KO) in a ten-round minimumweight contest.

The 22-year old Jerusalem is fresh off a majority decision win over former IBF World Minimumweight Champion Florante “Little Pacquiao” Condes. Refugio, 23, on the other hand, is fresh off his title win over Richard Claveras last February. The man they call the “Hard Worker” has won four of his last five bouts.
