The ALA Boxing stable could get even more talented, as the Cebu-based boxing team is looking to add bantamweight world title challenger Marlon "Maranding Nightmare" Tapales to their already loaded roster.
According to Ronnie Nathanielsz of PhilBoxing.com, ALA Boxing's longtime head trainer and international matchmaker Edito "ALA" Villamor and Tapales' trainer, Rex "Wakee" Salud have already talked about getting Tapales under the ALA Boxing stable.
The 24-year old Tapales boasts an impressive 28-2-0 professional record, with eleven wins coming via knockout.
Currently riding a six fight winning streak, the reigning WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight champion is looking to add a world title to his resume, challenging Thailand's Pungluang Sor Singyu, the current WBO World bantamweight title holder on July 27.
Win or lose, the Philippines' top boxing stable seems to be intent on bringing in Tapales.
Should they come to terms, the Lanao del Norte native will be joining the likes of the longest reigning Filipino boxing world champion and reigning WBO and The Ring Magazine light flyweight champion Donnie "Ahas" Nietes, reigning WBO International and WBO Youth featherweight champion Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo, IBF Intercontinental super bantamweight champion "Prince" Albert Pagara, and Jason "El Niño" Pagara, and the rest of the talented ALA team.
