Filipino light flyweight bet Rogen Ladon's olympic journey comes to a stop, as he falls to Colombian Yurberjen Martinez via Unanimous Decison in the men's boxing tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Ladon came out aggressive in all three rounds, but it was Martinez who landed the cleaner shots, albeit swinging for the fences.
In the final frame, it looked as if Ladon would be able to steal the round, but the Pinoy pug began to slow down midway and Martinez took over, ending the round strong and sealing the win.
Ladon's loss marks the end of the Philippine boxing team's campaign as well, with lightweight bet Charly Suarez falling short in his opening bout as well.
As it stands, the Philippines has already one silver medal, courtesy of Pinay weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, while a handful of other Pinoy olympians have yet to make their bids for some hardware in Rio.
