With around a month to go before fight night, Team ALA Boxing arrived safe and sound in Los Angeles, Sunday.

Pinoy Pride 38 will be headlined by Former long-time light flyweight champion and longest reigning Filipino boxing world champion Donnie "Ahas" Nietes making his flyweight debut against former world champion Edgar Sosa of Mexico for the WBO Inter-Continental Flyweight championship.

In the co-main event, reigning WBO International Featherweight champion Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo is set to put his title up on the line against a yet-to-be-determined Mexican challenger.

Also on the card, WBO Asia-Pacific Bantamweight champion "King" Arthur Villanueva will meet Juan "El Peñita" Jimenez in a rematch of their controversial bout in Bacolod last May.

Pinoy Pride 38 will be the second consecutive Pinoy Pride card to be held in the United States, following Pinoy Pride 37, featuring Albert and Jason Pagara, which was held at the San Mateo Events Center.

Pinoy Pride 38: Philippines vs. Mexico will take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, California on Saturday, September 24.
