Since officially assuming his place as a senator in the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao has been at the senate, morning, noon, and night to be able to fulfill all his duties. Jumping from hearings to meetings to the offices and to the Session Hall, Pacquiao says that he's fully enjoying his new job as a senator, aside from taking it very seriously.

But since announcing his return fight against Jessie Vargas in November, Pacquiao has also needed to get back to training.

After a long day in the office, Pacquiao heads to his "first office" so to say. Pacquiao knows there is no time to waste.

Five rounds of mitts with friend/trainer Buboy Fernandez, as well as rounds on the heavy bag and the speed ball are part of Pacquiao's training routine, and coach Buboy is pleased with Pacquiao's fitness.  The eight division world champion has managed to stay fit thanks to basketball, which has also helped him a lot with his stamina.

Coach Buboy is happy that Pacquiao's back in his element, also knows there's work to be done.

"Kita mo naman nandiyan pa rin, maganda ang labas, pero magaling din si Vargas kaya dapat practice talaga,"

Inside the ring, Pacquiao is energized, because he says boxing is more than just a sport for him, it's part of his routine. It's also a way for the boxer-slash-senator to destress and wind down after work.

As Pacquiao has said before, his whole training camp will be held in the Philippines so that he can fulfill his duties as a Senator.

After the Press Tour in September, Pacquiao's long-time coach Freddie Roach will fly out to Manila to help the Fighting Senator train for his November bout.
