Magsayo gets new opponent for Pinoy Pride 38
Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo meets Ramiro Robles at Pinoy Pride 38 in California
Unbeaten ALA Boxing standout Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo has a new opponent to prepare for.
With just a little over a week to go before Pinoy Pride 38 takes place, a change was made to the fight card with regards to Magsayo's opponent.
Mexico's Ruben Garcia, who was initially scheduled to meet Magsayo, suffered an injury in training and was forced to pull out of the WBO International Featherweight Championship bout.
Taking Garcia's place will be fellow Mexican Ramiro "Zurdo" Robles, a 23-year old veteran out of Guanajuato.
Robles (15-3-1) is coming off a TKO win over Gregorio Perez, and will be facing arguably the toughest test in his career against the younger Magsayo.
The opponents remain the same for Donnie "Ahas" Nietes and "King" Arthur Villanueva.
Check out the complete fight card below:
Pinoy Pride 38 happens on Saturday, September 24 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Catch the telecast of Pinoy Pride 38 on Sunday, September 25 on ABS-CBN channel 2 and ABS-CBN Sports+Action channel 23!
