Nevada native Jessie Magdaleno may be just 24 years of age, but he's certainly no rookie to the world of boxing.
With a 23-0 pro record and 17 knockouts to his name, some would argue that it took quite a while for him to get a crack at a world title.
In his 24th career fight however, Magdaleno will finally get a world title opportunity, and in his hometown no less as he challenges reigning WBO Super Bantamweight Champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire at the Thomas and Mack Center on November 5th.
No doubt a dream come true for the Vegas born Magdaleno.
"It's a big accomplishment for me. It's just shows how far I've came in the boxing world and its another step closer to my dream"
Magdaleno says that he's been angling for a fight against Donaire for over a year now and feels that he matches up well against the Pinoy champion.
"I think it's a great match up. I've been calling him out for over a year already. But the time is now. is the day we step in the ring. "
Magdaleno and Donaire will serve as the co-main attraction for the November 5th card in Las Vegas that will be headlined by the return of Manny Pacquiao, who meets Jessie Vargas.
