According to eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, he once fell victim to the temptation that is drugs, back when he was younger.
"Inaamin ko naman, natikman na natin iyon," Pacquiao said in a report by ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo. "Bata pa tayo noon, mga 15 or 16 years old. Walang kwenta yang drugs, kahit marijuana, o shabu."
Pacquiao added that it was sports that helped him turn his back on drugs before it was too late.
His experiences as a youth have only made him become more of an advocate against illegal drugs and says that he is one with Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte in this battle.
Pacquiao continued, saying that one's own personal will is stronger than any pressure or temptation from the outside.
While he joins the President's war on drugs, Pacman is getting ready for his own war this coming November, as he makes his in-ring return against Jessie Vargas in Las Vegas.
