With less than a week to go before his in-ring return, eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao's training enters the home stretch, and head coach Freddie Roach appears to be liking what he's seeing.
"I'm very happy where' he's at right now." Roach said via Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN.
Fighters usually tend to wind their training down a week before their matches, and the same goes for Pacquiao, who Roach said insisted to do a little more sparring on fight week.
"I tried to cancel sparring on Monday, and he's like 'Maybe we'll keep my sharpeness?' So I said okay, we'll do three rounds on Monday, and three rounds of mitts, and that's it."
"He's done all the strength work. He's right where I want him to be." Roach added.
Manny Pacquiao challenges Jessie Vargas for the WBO welterweight championship on Saturday, November 5 (Sunday, November 6, Manila time) at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
