For the first time in history, two of the biggest stars in Filipino boxing fight on the same card, as eight-division world champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and reigning, defending WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire are set to star in a big night for Filipino boxing.

In the main event, sure-fire future boxing hall-of-famer Manny Pacquiao makes his in-ring return after a brief retirement to challenge reigning and defending champion Jessie Vargas for the WBO welterweight belt.

The 37-year old Pacquiao (58-6-2) will be eyeing history as the first ever senator/boxing world champion in history when he looks for a third run as the WBO welterweight champion. Standing in his way however, is a young, hungry champion that looks to prove that he belongs inside the ring with Pacquiao.

Nicknamed as "The New Generation", Jessie Vargas (27-1) began his career unbeaten in 26 professional bouts. After suffering his first career loss to Timothy Bradley, Vargas bounced back strong by claming the vacant WBO welterweight title, and now takes on arguably his biggest challenge ever in Pacquiao.

While Pacquiao will be chasing a championship in Vegas, Nonito Donaire Jr. comes in as the defending champion when he meets a young, unbeaten challenger in Jessie Magdaleno.

After claiming the WBO super bantamweight crown back in December of 2015, Donaire (37-3) defended the title against Hungarian Olympian Zsolt Bedak in April of 2016 and now looks to successfully defend it again for a second time.

After calling out Donaire for the better part of a year, 24-year old Magdaleno (23-0) gets his wish. The brash young Nevada native been confident in the lead-up to the fight and believes that this is his time. In his first ever shot at a world title, hopes to emerge victorious.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Jessie Vargas and Nonito Donaire Jr. vs. Jessie Magdaleno takes place on Saturday, November 5th (Sunday, November 6th, Manila time) at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
