Remember when we asked you guys what you thought Manny Pacquiao should do next, now that he's the new WBO welterweight champion and proved that he still had what it takes to inside the boxing ring?
Remember one of the possible scenarios that we pointed out was that Pacquiao would meet Floyd Mayweather Jr. again?
Well guess what, Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum believes that there's a big chance that it does happen.
Like, a 75-percent chance.
According to ESPN's Dan Rafael, Arum basically guaranteed that Manny would be fighting again in spring, but it'll be planned around his senate schedule.
"After the fight in the ring, Manny told me that the Senate will be in recess for eight weeks between the middle of March and the middle of May,"
As for the possibility of a Mayweather rematch, while Arum believes that theres a good chance that it happens, he says that of course, there isn't anything set in stone as of the moment.
"Like everyone else, I'm guessing there will be a rematch. He did come to the fight," said Pacquiao's longtime promoter.
"I give it 75 percent. Do I know it's gonna happen? No. Do I know if Floyd wants the fight? No. I know nothing more than the public knows at this point and what I observed." Arum added.
Arum did say however, that should the two camps actually engage in rematch talks, things could go a lot smoother than before.
"Now, that doesn't mean that the fight will happen, but if it does, it won't take a long time to make because the animosity that was there before the first fight is gone. There's no more animosity between the camps."
"It was so tense last time, but it won't be that way now because everyone can get along,"
Not even a week has passed since Pacquiao's return win, and already, the rumour mills have begun to spin.
Will we see Pacquiao versus Mayweather 2? Only time will tell.
