With eight-division world champion and reigning WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao serving as elected senator of the Republic of the Philippines, Bob Arum and Top Rank Boxing, Pacquiao's promoters, need to work around his Senate schedule.
With the Senate heading into recess from March to May, Manny's next fight has been scheduled, and it'll be against Australian welterweight contender Jeff Horn at a to-be-determined venue, wih Australia and The Middle East as frontrunners.
The Horn fight could be just the tip of the iceberg however, as Arum revealed through ESPN's Dan Rafael that he hopes to be able to get Manny to fight around the world as many times as he can when there are Senate breaks.
"My goal is to have Pacquiao fight as many times as we can get away from the senate duties as possible," Arum said via ESPN.com. "So the idea is if he fights in April and he stays in boxing shape we can fight perhaps again in July."
Should this be the case, Pacquiao will be going from either Australia, Dubai, or Abu Dhabi to Russia and then England, which could be against Kell Brook.
"We have an offer in Russia. And then we have an offer and would be interested in fighting Kell Brook in England in probably October. That's a big fight."
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Manny Pacquiao World Tour, which Arum says could be beneficial, should Manny set his sights on Philippine Presidency.
"We did world tours with Muhammad Ali and that's what I'm going to do with Manny. It's good for him to fight all over. He might be president of the Philippines someday and fighting around the world is good for that possibility."
