Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan may have been training partners at one point in their careers, but come April 23rd, the two top 147-pounders are set to collide for the WBO welterweight championship.
While Great Britain's Khan says that he idolizes the eight-division champion, he believes that it's his time now.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News' Dyan Castillejo via Facetime, Khan shares that he expects his fight against Manny to be an exciting one.
"Its going to be a really really good fight because of my style and Manny's style," Khan said.
Khan, a former light-welterweight world champion, also shared what he believes his advantage will be against the senator-slash-world champion.
"Manny and I are friends but I think i have my youth, and I've been a two-division champion,"
The 30-year old Bolton native also added that the time he's spent with the Pacquiao camp could also play a factor in their fight.
"I have seen him, and I have sparred with him."
Khan went on to say that after the fight, he'd like to come back to the Philippines again.
