Do you guys follow Damian Lillard on Twitter? You guys should.
No only is Dame one of the realest guys on Twitter, but he also engages his followers a lot, so you get to know more about the All-Star point guard.
One of the most interesting tidbits of info about the Portland Trailblazers star is that the dude's a huge boxing fan, and every now and then, he gives his two cents about the boxing world, which led us to this little gem.
One fan asked Dame what he thought about reigning IBF junior lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis...
Have a hard time seeing anyone in that weight class beating him https://t.co/lJQ2TanA7q— Damian Lillard (@Dame_Lillard) May 25, 2017
Check out who happened to respond to Lillard's tweet...
@Dame_Lillard Would love a chance to fight him but Mayweather said no.— Hi-Tech Lomachenko (@VasylLomachenko) May 26, 2017
That is none other than former WBO featherweight champion and current reigning WBO junior featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko.
Judging from "Hi-Tech's" response, the Ukrainian lobbyed for a fight against Davis, but was turned down by Davis' mentor and promoter, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Did he? Damn. https://t.co/NNhG0kD9lH— Damian Lillard (@Dame_Lillard) May 26, 2017
While all we're going with here is a Twitter exchange, it's pretty interesting to think why "Money" would turn down such a big fight, given that Lomachenko and Davis are two of the more exciting champions we have in boxing today.
If the two did meet, who'd take it though?
