"Prince" Albert Pagara will be facing a new opponent at Pinoy Pride 41

With less than a month to go, Pinoy Pride 41 gets a bit of a shakeup, as "Prince" Albert Pagara gets a new opponent.

Originally scheduled to face Indonesian Waldo Sabu, Pagara will now take on Thailand's Patosith Pathompothong after managerial issues have forced the Indonesian to pull out.

A former IBF Pan Pacific featherweight champion, Pathompothong has a 16-9 professional record with six wins coming via knockout.

Expect the 35-year old Thai to come into the fight hungry and motivated as he looks to snap a three-fight losing streak.

Pagara (27-1, 18 KO) on the other hand, looks to continue to work his way back up to top contender status in the super bantamweight division. The 23-year old native of Maasin, Southern Leyte is coming off a unanimous decision win over Raymond Commey of Ghana back in November of 2016.

Also on the card, Mark Magsayo competes in his first ever main event as he takes on Daniel Diaz of Nicaragua for the WBO International Featherweight championship, while rising star Jeo Santisima faces Goodluck Mrema of Tanzania.

Pinoy Pride 41: The New Generation Warriors takes place on Saturday, July 8th at the IEC Convention Center in Cebu City. Catch the telecast on Sunday, July 9th, 3:00 PM on ABS-CBN channel 2 and 8:00 PM on S+A channel 23!
